Dimes and Half Dimes

The US dime is a classic coin that has been in circulation since 1796. United States dimes are an essential part of American coinage history.  Today Dimes feature the image of President Franklin D. Roosevelt on the front and have gone through various design changes over the years, including the Mercury dime and the Barber dime. Today, dimes are made of a copper-nickel blend, but they were originally made of silver.
