The 1839 Seated Liberty Quarter "No Drapery" is a highly sought-after, early U.S. silver coin variety characterized by the lack of a cloth fold beneath Lady Liberty's left elbow. Minted at the Philadelphia Mint with a total mintage of 491,146, this variant represents the second year of the Seated Liberty design. Because the "No Drapery" design was short-lived and phased out in early 1840, it is scarce in all grades and exceptionally rare in Mint State conditions.
