2020-P American Silver Eagle

Normally, bullion Silver Eagles are struck at West Point Mint (and sometimes at other Mint branches).  During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 (and continuing some into 2021), the West Point Mint had a temporary shutdown. To meet demand for Silver Eagles, the U.S. Mint redirected production to Philadelphia Mint.  NGC Coin +2 CoinWorld +2  These coins (struck in Philadelphia during that “emergency production” period) — although they look identical to normal Silver Eagles (because bullion Silver Eagles carry no mint mark) — are considered special. Their attribution depends on packaging/records, not a visible mint mark.
